The strength of typhoon Bopha, which will be named “Pablo” as it enters the Philippines, has prompted the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council to raise the blue alert and warn local governments to take precautionary measures.
In Albay, evacuations in anticipation for the storm have been scheduled for Tuesday, December 4. Members of the the Albay provincial disaster risk reduction management council (PDRRMC) and other agencies have been assigned on a 24-hour red alert status.
