Just in time for Fire Prevention Month, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has acquired 76 new and top of the line fire trucks for faster and more efficient response to fires.
The new Austrian-made Rosenbauer TLF 4000 fire trucks were turned over to the BFP by Interior Secretary Mar Roxas II. These trucks were especially built for fighting fire in densely populated cities. The trucks can pump out 2,400 liters of water per minute and can cover an eight-storey building.
The first batch of fire trucks were delivered to Quezon City, Manila, Caloocan, Malabon, Parañaque, Pasay, Pasig, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Las Piñas and Taguig, GMA News reported.
