A Chinese businessman is facing charges for distributing imitation Ma Ling, a brand of canned meat.
According to the Philippine Star, the NBI raided Kevin Chan’s warehouses on A. Rivera, Jose Abad Santos, and Padre Algue streets in Tondo, Manila, and found 85 boxes of the fake canned meat.
The raid was authorized by Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 24 Judge Lyliha Abella-Aquino, the report said. Chan is now facing charges for violating the Food, Drugs, and Cosmetics Act.
