A fire that hit a residential area in Navotas City rendered at least 20 families homeless before dawn on Wednesday.
According to a GMA News report, the fire razed at least 14 houses in Barangay North Bay Boulevard. The fire reached fifth alarm, which means all fire trucks in the district were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters had a hard time putting the fire out because of the narrow streets. Residents helped contain the blaze by passing buckets of water.
Investigators have yet to determine how the fire started.
