MRT braces for passenger influx with EDSA rehab

With the two year rehabilitation of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue scheduled to start this May, the management of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) is preparing for an influx of passengers.

Motorists and commuters who will be affected by the road repair are expected to take the train to avoid the traffic build-up at EDSA.

MRT General Manager Al Vitangcol was interviewed by ABS-CBN News regarding the matter. He said the management will not be extending hours of operation but will be fielding trains to stations where there are more commuters. He also said that they will be constructing waiting sheds to protect the commuters as they stand in line.
