MMDA wants to set up a mall network

At the heels of the recent spate of robberies and mall-related violence, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is urging mall owners and managers to set up a network that will help each one guard against potential threats.

GMA News said MMDA Chief Francis Tolentino brought up this suggestion to mall owners in a meeting with them last week.

Aside from beefing up security and being more alert about suspicious characters inside the malls, he stressed that mall owners should be able to network and warn other malls of robbers or other unscrupulous individuals.
