Citing the success of the modified truck ban during last Christmas, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) decided to extend the ban until July 6. MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino announced the extension in an interview on dzBB on Monday. “Effective yan, bukas extended hanggang July 6, 2013,” he said.
The modified truck ban was original only up to Jan. 6. The implementation banned trucks from twice during the day, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and then again from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Meantime, Tolentino said that dialogue with stakeholders continues, GMA News reported.
