Miriam Defensor-Santiago needs to avoid politics after mild stroke

Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago needs to take it easy.

After suffering a mild stroke last Wednesday, after a TV interview, she may suffer another if she doesn’t relax and do what’s good for her health.

According to Philstar, the stroke went to her eye and not her brain, and that the blood clot in her eye serves as a warning that “another hypertension may cause a stroke.”

Senator Santiago was in a heated argument with Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile and Senator Panfilo Lacson about the use of the Senate savings as maintenance and other operating expenses.

Now her doctors have advised her “to disengage in politics.” Apart from having a mild stroke around 10 years ago, her two brothers also died from a heart attack.
