A mega job fair and discount caravan will take place at the Makati City Hall quadrangle tomorrow, Nov. 9, as part of the twin birthday celebrations of Vice President Jejomar C. Binay and former Makati Mayor Elenita S. Binay.
Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin S. Binay extended the invitation to all residents of Metro Manila and nearby provinces. He said the event will be a great opportunity to find jobs and go bargain shopping for Christmas gifts.
The city government partnered with the Makati Public Employment Service Office (PESO) for the event. The Rotary Club of Makati Poblacion, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) were also instrumental in setting up the mega job fair.
Mayor Binay said over 60 companies and industry leaders are looking forward to add fresh talent to their companies and establishments. He added that PRC representatives will also be around to help applicants renew their PRC licenses.
Among the companies who confirmed attendance are: Ateneo de Manila University, Abenson, AB & N Manpower, Andok’s Litson, Brothers Burger, Celine Marketing, Dunkin Donuts, Mc Donalds, Eurotiles, Eperformax, Goldilocks, Mirof Resources, NCO, SM Department Store, SM Supermarket, Prime Manpower, Philippine Survey Research Center, Shopwise, Convergys, Aegis People Support, French Baker, United Royale Corporation, Watson Personal Care Store, Toby’s Sports, Sykes Asia, Bench, and Lamoiyan Philippines.
At the same time, some 30 manufacturing companies will be offering discounts and great bargains to the public. These are: Botika ng Bayan, San Miguel Corporation, Frabelle, Mekeni Food Corporation, Tentay Products, Silver Swan, Marca Leon, Victoria Foods Corporation, Marissa’s Foods, Hapee Toothpaste, Unilever Philippines, SBM Soap, Diana’s Bibingka, Mark Daniels, Gardenia, Julie’s Bakeshop, Jahz Footware, C Point Shoes, Bob Mars Shoes, Jam’s Bags, Vedasco Lethergoods, Nestle Philippines, Magnolia, and Tipas Hopia.
