Mayor Lim attended the Chinese New Year celebration at Chinatown in Manila and lauded the Chinese community for starting businesses, creating jobs, and paying taxes religiously.
According to the Journal, Lim was with Lou Veloso and other members of his ticket in the coming elections, barangay officials, representatives from Filipino-Chinese organizations and students from Chinese schools.
The Filipino-Chinese community or “Chinoys” in Manila contribute a lot in social and civic activities in the city, especially in fire fighting.
