Manila Film Center Fire causes P200,000 in damage

Another blaze (the fourth reported in Manila yesterday) hit the Manila Film Center in Pasay City last night, reportedly causing P200,000 in damage.

Trucks from the Bureau of Fire Protection and volunteer firefighters responded to the flames, which reportedly started just after 7pm.

The fire was extinguished by 9:30pm.

About 70 performers were putting on a rendition of “The Amazing Show” when they heard pops and saw smoke and flames come from the third floor, GMA News reported.

Investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and say it may have been caused by faulty wiring.

Three other fires in slum areas of Metro Manila killed three people yesterday, as reported by Coconuts Manila.
