The Manila Police District (MPD) is busy preparing and training for the upcoming observance of Holy Week.
According to MPD Spokesperson Chief Inspector Erwin Margarejo, while the Catholic faithful are busy with visita iglesias and other religious activities, criminal elements are also on the look out for their next potential victim.
He urged the public to also be “security-conscious” as he announced that the MPD will be deploying additional police at churches and neighboring areas. Help desks will also be set up at bus terminals and at the pier to assist those who will be departing for the provinces, GMA News reported.
