Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim and Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista are officially starting their reelection campaigns today, April 1st.
According to Lim’s chief of staff Ricardo de Guzman, the date is auspicious because they will be reminding voters not to fall for the competition’s empty promises and fake pro-poor strategies. A proclamation rally will be held at the Bonifacio Shrine beside City Hall and will be headed by President Benigno Aquino III.
In Quezon City, Mayor Bautista’s campaign will start with Holy Mass at the Sto. Domingo Church followed by a city-wide motorcade, Inquirer News reported.
