Real agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI ) are on the lookout for two posers claiming to be sent by the NCR chief to collect “protection money ” from illegal vices operations in the metropolis.
In a Journal report, suspects with the aliases of “Waldo” and “Richard G.” are said to be using the name of NBI-NCR Chief Efren Meneses while extorting money from beer joints and other establishments all over Metro Manila.
The NBI is warning the public against unscrupulous individuals who are even leaving fake business cards bearing the name of an NBI official for their extortion racket.
