After receiving flak for what was considered as “lewd” and sexually suggestive performances during their campaign rally on Monday, Team Malabon and re-electionist Mayor Antolin Oreta III on Thursday said he was considering dropping his team’s vice mayoral candidate Edwin Dimagiba because the event was planned by his camp.
Oreta and the rest of Malabon’s city government were heavily criticized for the “distasteful” and sexual nature of Monday’s program. The event was hosted by a group called “the Playgirls” who were dressed in very revealing outfits and engaged the male members of the audience suggestively.
Inquirer News quoted Oreta as saying that Dimagiba should have been aware of the contents of the program, including what the hosts would be doing during the event.
