But why? What on earth did she do wrong?
The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) lady guard involved in the “amalayer” brouhaha has issued an apology today as the video incident continues to spread like wildfire in various social networking sites.
In a statement through the LRTA management, security guard Sharon Mae Casinas “apologizes for whatever action that she had committed deemed offensive by the passenger concerned.”
Administrators maintained, however, that their employee was only doing her job of implementing security measures within the station.

The apology stemmed from the now very popular video showing a female passenger shouting at Casinas at the LRT 2 Santolan station. Casinas supposedly called the attention of the passenger for not subjecting her bag to the required x-ray procedures.
The LRTA remained firm in their resolve to implement their “no inspection, no entry policy.”
“It is one of our policies that station and security personnel refrain from making side comments and facial expressions that may be offensive to our passengers. Ms. Casinas displayed the right attitude expected of a security guard, that is, to be courteous and tolerant in spite of the embarrassment she got from the irate passenger.” Interaksyon.com quoted the LRT statement.
