The Light Rail Transit (LRT) officials announced on Friday that there will be no service from March 28 to March 31 to give way to heavy maintenance work.
It can be recalled that both LRT lines have been prone to glitches and system problems in recent months. LRT officials said the Holy Week break has been set aside for repairs and adjustments.
LRTA spokesman Hernando Cabrera issued the announcement via his twitter account. During Holy Week, there is an exodus of people to the provinces, thus leaving a small number of commuters in the city, GMA News reported.
