Reminder to all parents: don’t let your kids play with lit candles.
Just take, for example, these two brothers playing with one – they ended up setting fire on three houses in Barangay Palasan, Valenzuela City yesterday, and hurting four people, including their dad (third-degree burns on his hand) and grandmother (minor burns).
The two were playing with candles and matches inside their room and at around 12:50 p.m., the lit candle set fire on clothes. Their father rescued them; he’s mute so he couldn’t shout but he was able to call the attention of a neighbor, according to philstar.com.
