Following Vice Mayor Isko Moreno’s much publicized arrest over a bingo game, Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim challenged the Vice Mayor to step down if he cannot prove his allegations that he orchestrated the whole thing.
Moreno’s camp is claiming that they were arrested by Manila police officials on Lim’s orders. The Mayor on the other hand said that if Moreno could prove that he had a hand in this, he would step down from his post immediately.
On Saturday, Moreno and Councilors Joel Chua, Maria Asuncion Fugoso, Ernesto Isip, Yul Servo Nieto, and former councilor Manuel Zarcal were arrested at a bingo game in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
They were released after 12 hours for lack of evidence, Interaksyon.com reported.
