The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued a status quo ante order (SQA) preventing the implementation of the controversial Reproductive Health (RH) law on March 31.
The law was approved by President Benigno Aquino III in December. However, the High Court has frozen the law from being enacted for another four months or 120 days.
According to reports, the High Tribunal also set oral arguments to be heard at 2 p.m. on June 18.
The Supreme Court acted on eight separate petitions filed against the implementation of the RH law.
