Forget citronella. There’s another anti-mosquito remedy, according to Manila Standard Today. It’s tomato, basing on the study of five Benguet State University grads called: “Lycopersicum Solanum Leaf Extract as an Alternative Mosquito Repellant.”
Tagged as a “respite from expensive commercial products,” this anti-mosquito remedy should make its way to Manila hopefully soon.
The solution (25 percent extract to 75 percent water) was used on hands of volunteers and it actually showed satisfactory results.
Looks like citronella has found its match. Then again, the more the merrier!
