In today’s tough times, he could have chosen the quick way to make a buck. But no, Joseph Taduran, a 51-year-old taxi driver from Las Piñas, chose to return a clutch bag with roughly P300,000 in foreign currency left by his a passenger.
On January 13, passenger Juan Manantan boarded Taduran’s cab at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1. When Taduran saw that his passenger left behind his clutch bag, he immediately reported it to airport action officer Danny Chua, who identified the passenger.
According to ABS CBN News, Manantan was able to retrieve his money and offered a P3,000 gift to Taduran. Now that’s something we need to see more of!
