Nine years of repeated abuse proved too much for a 15-year-old girl from Pasig City.
On Monday night, her stepfather tried to rape her yet again, but this time she was strong enough to fight him. According to SPO4 Digna Cas of the Pasig City Women’s and Children’s protection Desk, the girl fought off her 36-year-old stepfather with a billiard stick and hit him several times. When he was down on the floor, bleeding, the girl ran outside and asked help from barangay officials.
Das said the child was being raped by the suspect since 2004, meaning she was only six years old. The abuse would happen whenever the child’s mother is away. Police said multiple charges of rape will be filed against the suspect, the Philippine Star reported.
