A total of 710 residents, including a 70-year-old grandmother, have graduated from the free computer skills training program in Navotas City.
The “Computer Outreach Learning” (COOL) program makes use of mobile classrooms and recently came to Barangays Tanza, North Bay Boulevard North and South, Tangos, Bangkulasi and San Roque.
The second batch of students included 70-year-old Erlinda Naadat, the city’s very own lola techie. The residents were taught basic computer operation and use of Microsoft Office applications.
After the five-day course, graduates were given a certificate of completion accredited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the Manila Bulletin reported.
