Food vendors banned at Black Nazarene vigil

To help keep the Rizal Park clean during the Black Nazarene vigil at the Quirino Grandstand, food vendors have been banned from selling their wares at the vigil area.

With millions of devotees expected to make their way to the Rizal Park, Park authorities have issued the ban in order to keep the area clean.

During last year’s Black Nazarene vigil the devotees dumped a large volume of trash at the site. Authorities explained that the trash was partly due to the containers used by food vendors in the area.  Devotees are advised to bring their own food to the vigil, GMA News reported.
