According to Interaksyon, a lot of Pinoy homes don’t have Internet access.
Quezon City Representative Winston Castelo has a suggestion: telecommunication companies should charge lower Internet connection fees to that more Filipinos will get wired. He said that the fee should be down to P500 (from P1000) per month so that more people will get Internet for their homes.
“A thousand pesos is a big drain for the monthly income of a typical Filipino family,” Castelo said. “Telcos would still earn substantially by lowering the cost of monthly Internet services and expanding it to most Filipinos.”
