Winning the lottery has changed another person’s life.
For a 60-year-old former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), this is an opportunity to give his cancer-stricken son the gift of life.
According to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) this ex-OFW from Cavite City picked up his share of the PHP37.6 million of the March 17 6/49 Superlotto draw on Wednesday. PCSO officials say the second winner is a player from Muntinlupa City who has yet to come forward and claim his prize.
This lucky windfall is just what the family needed to turn their life around. PCSO officials said one of the player’s sons has stage four cancer. His condition has wiped out the family’s savings, the Philippine Star reported.
