DOJ prosecutor and lawyer mistress face disbarment

A prosecutor of the Department of Justice and a woman lawyer from the same agency are currently facing disbarment cases filed by the prosecutor’s wife after she obtained a video of the two allegedly having sex.

The wife has also filed further chargers against the prosecutor for violating the 2004 Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act. She also appealed to the court for protection and child support.

Apart from the video, the wife also acquired some photograph of the husband and his mistress on various out-of-town trips.

She claims that she has always known about her husband’s extra-marital affairs but chose to look the other way for the sake of their family.

IPB spokesperson lawyer Trixie Angeles pointed out that lawyers are duty-bound to maintain high moral standards and hold fast to the tenets of their profession, particularly as “protectors of the Constitution”. This is more even imperative for lawyers who hold public office.

While declining on giving further details of the case, she made assurances that in their evaluation they “will try to be fair to all the parties concerned.”

Meanwhile, Interaksyon.com reported that the prosecutor and the woman lawyer declined to give any comments.
