Caloocan City police recovered high powered guns and stolen vehicles when they raided a residential compound in Phase 12, Tala, described as a hub for drugs and other illegal activities.
Police Spokesperson Jackie Candelario, said they received a tip that men have been entering and leaving the compound with high powered weapons. The informant further said that stolen vehicles were being hidden there.
Inquirer News reported that 17 suspects were arrested during the police operations. However, Candelario said that not all of them have ties with the crime syndicate.
Police recovered 11 firearms, 34 motorcycles and a Honda Civic car that has been stripped of its license plates. A video gambling machine, weighing scales and drug paraphernalia, were also confiscated.
