Cops and protesters clash in front of US Embassy

Militant youths clashed with riot police at the US Embassy Friday morning.

The protesters staged a lightning rally and hurled paint on the signage of the US Embassy despite the presence of police officers. There were about 20 militant youths and only three police personnel detailed in front of the US Embassy in Roxas Boulevard, Manila, at that time.

They are protesting the RP-US Visiting Forces Agreement as well as the damage caused by the  US Navy minesweeper USS Guardian after running aground at the Tubbataha Reef last Jan. 17, GMA News reported.
