Conduction stickers will no longer be exempted from number coding

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Wednesday announced that the number coding system will soon apply to motorists whose vehicles have conduction stickers.

In a GMA News report, MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said he has discussed the matter with Land Transportation Office head Virginia Torres, and she agreed to it. He said expanding the coverage of the number coding system will help  de-congest traffic in the metropolis, especially during peak hours.

Conduction stickers are issued to newly acquired vehicles. They are normally removed once the license plates become available.
