Poor guy was just doing his job.
When 42-year old bus conductor Ronel Monter tried to collect fare from five men, described by witnesses to be between 20 and 25 years old, they began arguing with him instead of just giving him the payment. One of the guys pulled out a gun and shot Monter, and then quickly left the bus together with his companions.
According to Inquirer, Monter was rushed to Malvar General Hospital by the bus driver, Pablo Lopez. He was eventually moved to East Avenue Medical Center, but he died there at around 8:25 p.m. last Friday.
