The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council on Thursday disclosed that some nine million devotees participated in this year’s Feast of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo, Manila.
There were minimal incidents compared to the previous years. The agency reported that there were only 24 devotees who were injured or fainted. Meanwhile, the Red Cross noted a total of 860 minor injuries, 36 “major” injuries and 577 blood pressure consults.
Clean up has also began for the massive piles of trash left by devotees, GMA News reported.
