Bike lane and bike-sharing system open in Makati-EDSA

Props to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) for opening a one-kilometer bike lane from Magallanes to Ayala Avenue along EDSA. These bike lanes aren’t just for bike riders using their own bicycles, however, because there are bikes that people can borrow under the MMDA’s bike-sharing system.

One just needs to register at designated control areas in Magallanes, Pasay Road and Ayala Avenue by presenting a valid ID so they can be issued a plastic card with the bike’s number. The issued card will then be surrendered at the control area where they will exit, according to a story in Philstar.
