Be careful of toxic lucky charms

An environmental group has warned the public to be careful when buying “lucky charms” being sold in line with the Chinese New Year celebrations.

The Group Eco Waste Coalition warns that some of these charms or displays, aimed at bringing luck and prosperity for the year of the Water Snake, actually contains harmful chemicals and compounds that damage internal organs.

The harmful substances are said to be released upon contact with the skin or through inhalation. ABS CBN News has the full story.
