One-year old Ruth Garcia was found inside an open manhole in Navotas City last Saturday at around 2:30 a.m.
Ruth and her aunt, Susana, have no place to stay at so they’d been sleeping on the streets. Aunt and niece were sleeping side by side on sheets of carton on Lapu-Lapu Street, Barangay North Bay Boulevard-South, according to Inquirer, but when Susana woke up, Ruth was already missing. Later found in the manhole, Ruth was already dead and with a wound on her head.
