Let’s admit it: second place sucks.
Even Andrew Wolff knows this. After placing first runner-up and losing to Francisco Javier Escobar Parra of Columbia at the 2012 Mr. World pageant held in Kent, England last Nov. 24, he posted on his official Facebook account for the pageant: 2nd place guys. Sorry :'( Salamat sa inyong lahat diyan! Mahal ko kayo!
He also posted on his Twitter account: Salamat sa lahat ng support nyo. Pasensya na sa 2nd. Akala ko manalo na ang Pilipinas, pero hindi. Mabuhay Pilipinas! Mas matalino tayo! 🙂
While he placed just second, fans, people of Facebook and fellow Pinoys are sure proud of the Volcanoes member for making it that far in the competition. He also won a special award during the fast-track competitions: the Multi-Media Special Award.
Forty eight hunky young men competed for the title.
