It’s reassuring that the country is at least becoming known for its honest airport staff.
Another airport janitor returned a wallet containing the equivalent of PHP 100,000 to an Overseas Filipino Worker returning from Dubai.
The Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 janitor, 42-year-old Daniel Valentin of Villamor Air Base, Pasay City, found the wallet at around 12:30 p.m. at the airport’s departure area.
The Journal reported that the owner, Jerome Franco Biason, dropped the wallet when he boarded a cab bound for a local bus terminal. He was returning to his family in Tarlac.
Valentin surrendered the wallet to his superiors and they were able to get in touch with the owner through his ID cards.
