A 10-year-old girl was saved from harm by an angry mob who attacked a suspected rapist in Merville, Parañaque City, on Friday.
Hermigio Zedeño, 24, nabbed the girl and dragged her to a nearby creek in South Admiral Village and planned to rape her. The girl however, screamed for help, and was heard by the younger sister, who immediately called their mother.
To defend himself, Zedeño took another girl and her mother as hostages. This time, the father attacked him and alerted bystanders. By the time Zedeño ran away, he had an angry mob behind him.
Zedeño, on the other hand, was unconscious when he was taken to the Philippine General Hospital for treatment, Inquirer News reported.
