In the wake of super typhoon Pablo, city dwellers are once more uniting in an effort to provide assistance to kababayans in the Mindanao region who have been severely affected by the storm.
Through the use of popular websites and social networking sites, concerned citizens have been calling on fellow Filipinos to bring in aid and donations.
On Twitter, #PabloPH, #RescuePH and #helpMonkayo filled the tweets of many informing where to bring their donations and what form of aid were needed.
Some of the organizations providing venues for official donations include @GawadKalingaHQ2, @DSWDserves, @LBC_Foundation2 and @iloveTeaAmo2.
On Facebook, a page named “Help Cateel” was created asking for specific relief goods like bottled water, rice, noodles, medicine, blankets, etc. for the town Cateel in Davao Oriental.
