Eugenio ‘Gabby’ Lopez III of ABS CBN and 12 other journalists from the network, posted bail for their temporary freedom on Monday.
A Quezon City Regional Trial Court had issued arrest warrants in connection with their involvement in a 9-year-old libel dispute between warring networks ABS-CBN and GMA.
Besides chairman Lopez, the following also posted bail:
Erwin Tulfo, Lynda Jumilla, Beth Frondoso, Maria Progena Estonillo Reyes, Annie Eugenio, Dondi Garcia, Luis Alejandro, Jose Ramon Olives, Jesus Maderazo, Luchi Cruz-Valdes, Jose Magsaysay Jr. and Alfonso Marquez.
Several of these veteran journalists are no longer working for the network, ABS CBN News reported.
