Around 300 families along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City were affected by sudden flooding Sunday night because of heavy rains and clogged drains.
According to a report on InterAksyon, 100 people living on Peacock Street, East Fairview had to evacuate their homes because of floods that were too deep to stand in. Rescue teams from the Bureau of Fire Protection helped them reach safer ground.
The Office of Civil Defense said the floods were caused by drainage problems. Declogging operations continued until Monday, the report said.
