210 new policemen and women who have just completed a 45-day Special Counter-Insurgency Operation Unit Training (SCOUT) bootcamp conducted by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) will be deployed to help ensure safety and security during the May polls.
NCRPO director Chief Supt. Leonardo Espina said 100 of these new SCOUT graduates will be fielded to Navotas City.
The SCOUT program included training police as snipers, knife combatants, air and water rescuers, and even “blindfolded” gun assemblers, Inquirer News reported.
