At least 20 passengers were hurt when an air-conditioned passenger bus caught fire along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City, Wednesday night.
According to GMA News, HM Transport bus (TVZ-537) plying the Pacita-Fairview route caught fire at Commonwealth Avenue near the corner of Philcoa and Maligaya Street toward Fairview at around 7:40 pm.
Some 20 passengers were injured as they hurried to get out of the bus.
Witnesses claim to have heard an explosion but thought it was just a blown tire.
