Operatives of the Southern Police District (SPD)have arrested over 20 foreigners, majority of them Chinese nationals, for holding drug sessions inside the VIP rooms of a popular KTV bar on Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard.
The raid was conducted at the Blue Bird KTV bar at Lifestyle 2 Building of the Hobbies of Asia Mall early Saturday. The operations stemmed from a tip from an insider and three months of surveillance.
Chief Insp. Marlon Quimno, who led the operations, said the high -end customers could only go inside the VIP rooms if they had “invitations”.
He added that during the bust, the foreigners were found to be sniffing a powdery white substance believed to be cocaine inside seven VIP rooms in the establishment.
The foreign nationals were detained at the SPD headquarters and underwent inquest proceedings on Monday.
The KTV bar on the other hand, has been barred shut, Inquirer News reported.
