Two separate incidents in Quezon City saw two young lives lost over drugs and warring street gangs.
On Saturday, 16-year-old Christian Bonsobre of Saint Anthony Street in Barangay Holy Spirit was shot dead in front of a convenience store in the area. Witnesses said one of three men alighted from a tricycle and repeatedly shot Bonsobre.
Police recovered a small sachet of shabu on the boy’s body.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old fastfood restaurant delivery boy Raymund Vivo of Sampaguita Street in Barangay Holy Spirit succumbed to gunshot wounds in the neck yesterday. He was shot while trying to protect his 12-year-old cousin who is said to be a member of a street gang.
The victim’s cousin was being chased by a group of men and when Vivo tried to intervene, he was shot by one of the members, Inquirer News reported.
