Police recovered the bodies of two men, said to be victims of summary execution, in different parts of Baseco Compound, Port area, Manila on Tuesday.
The first one to be found was that 36-year-old Gener Borjal of Malibay, Pasay City. He was found around midnight in front of a house at Block 11 Extension, New Site with a gunshot wound below his right ear but without signs of struggle.
At around 4:00 a.m., the second body, identified as Rusty Salamat, 25, was found at the intersection of Blocks 18 and 20. Police said Salamat is a known street thug. He was found with a gunshot wound to the head and an improvised shotgun in his body.
His family however, refused to have him autopsied in accordance with Muslim tradition, the Philippine Star reported.
