A 19-year-old student was apparently so upset over domestic problems that he took his own life by jumping from the 9th floor of the Globe Asiatique (GA) Tower 1 along EDSA, Mandaluyong City this morning.
Reports identified the deceased as Luke Daryl Santos, 19, a junior college student at the Philippine Maritime Institute.
His best friend, Bryan De Mesa, said they had just come home from a drinking session. He recounted that he and the victim’s mother were able to avert his first suicide attempt. However, he still jumped when no one was looking.
