Somebody was certainly not feeling the Christmas spirit when he or she ordered for this 18-year-old grocery bagger to be arrested on Christmas day. His crime? Eating a bag of potato chips worth P26.50!
According to the Inquirer, Erwin Pallan, an employee of the SM Save More branch in Manila, was arrested and jailed after being caught eating a bag of chips while on the clock. His parents had reportedly appealed to the store management to forgive him for his indiscretion but were told that “rules are rules.”
