The 2012 holiday season appears to be the one with the most fires.
Merely days after a fire razed down hundreds of houses in San Juan City, another massive fire broke out in a slum area in Malabon City on Saturday, which left around 100 families without a roof above their heads for the New Year.
Malabon Fire Marshal Chief Insp. Rodrigo Reyes, said the fire began at the house of Nonilon Aljas on Dulong Bronze Street in Barangay (village) Tugatog before dawn on Saturday. The blaze also left two people injured: Edgar Tan and Fernando Briones Gonzales, Inquirer News reported.
